Never surround yourself with people who have the tendency to be very jealous, especially if it's towards you. People who are jealous can be very dangerous, with some it can even turn deadly so, you better watch out whom you call your friend. It's possible you're exposing yourself to danger without even knowing it, that's why it is very important to be wise and use discernment when dealing with people, also don't forget to use common sense.
Everyone, has once in their lifetime dealt with people who were very toxic & jealous (and yes I said toxic because most likely, they are), and if we have to go back, our gut feeling always told us in advance that something wasn't right about that person or situation, but did we listen to that feeling? No, we pushed & kicked that feeling into a little box, threw the keys and the whole box away, and instead listen to the deceit and the lies we were fed.
There is no escape from it, jealous and toxic people are everywhere, even in your family you'll find them. The best thing to do is to stay far away from these people.

- One way to know if your so-called friend or one of your family member is jealous of you is if they are always belittling you, they downplay everything you say or do, they say smart remarks to you to hurt you. As soon as they see you be happy or moving forward in life, there they come with their negative comments. In reality, they realize that you are doing something with your life, so they want to bring you down mentally so you won't move forward physically.
- They try to turn people against you. Some people are very obvious in letting you know that they don't like you & with other people you would never know because they are so good at hiding it. Some of them will say & do anything to destroy your reputation and lie on your name. You really have to watch out whom you let in your inner circle, not everybody is there to be a true friend, they might want to get closer to you just to turn around and gossip about you and your family.
- They will never acknowledge your success. When you notice that people can't be glad that you've reach your goals and success, and they try to act like it is nothing, you better watch out for them. They try to diminish your work and what you had to do to get there, if you keep these kinds of people long enough in your inner circle eventually their downplaying words will have an effect on your self-esteem and you start to doubt yourself, and once you do that they have you exactly where they want you.
- For no reason they will dislike you. You can be friends with someone for a while and all of a sudden they distant themselves from you. Some people just can't handle you having success in your life, it will force them to realize that they themselves have not achieved anything they ever wanted in their life, so their insecurities will most likely make them turn their backs on you.
- They flat out say it to your face, in a joking manner. Be careful with people who always say negative things they don't like about you but then turn around and say it's a joke, or that you took it way too serious, and notice how they always have something negative to say to you when you all are around other people. They actually are speaking their true feelings towards you, but aren't man or woman enough to admit it. Once you see a so-called friend act like that it's time for you to exit that friendship/relationship.
- Sometimes they are jealous of you because they want to be you. Everything you do, they will try to do it better. There is a competition going on and you're not even aware that you are a part of it. These people will watch and imitate everything you do.
